the College ‘AI-Ameen Memorial Minority College’ bears a special significance. The Arabic term (AI-Ameen) in the language of Logic is Connotative. The AI-Ameen Memorial Minority College was, therefore, established recalling AI-Ameen, the essential quality of the Prophet(P.B.U.H). Would to God that our College may become trustworthy to the people at large, in respect of imparting intellectual and quality, moral and cultural, mordern and advanced education to the students belonging to different castes and creed, and thereby, forming true citizens of our motherland, India.It is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. It is a co-educational institution for higher learning. In 2008 the College was awarded Minority Status Certificate and was included U/S. 2(f) of the UGC act, 1956, in the same year.

The college was granted affiliation by the University in the academic session 2007-08 and subjects like Arabic (Hons.), Bengali (Hons.) and Arabic (General), Bengali (General), English (General), History (General), Political Science (General) and Philosophy (General) were offered.

We are grateful to the University of Calcutta for kindly granting extension of affiliation to subjects like English (Hons.), Islamic History & Culture (Hons.) and Education (General) to the college from the academic session 2008-09.

In 2009-10 Session the college has further obtained affiliation in Philosophy(Hons), History (Hons) and Urdu (Gen).

The College was included in the year 2012 under the West Bengal colleges (Payment of Salaries) Act, 1978. We are very grateful to the State Government.
